About me...

I'm a Freelance Sound Engineer working a wide range of productions from musical theatre, corporate and rock and roll. I am competent and confident mixing front of house or monitors on most of the modern digital mixing desks. I am organised so I am happy running stage or patch. I am experienced and happy working at height so I am extremely confident rigging. With my experience I am also confident and enjoy being the primary Production Engineer for theatre productions.

Where I started

Having cut my teeth on school productions and working in the local armature theatre I studied Sound Technology at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). After graduating I began working at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich where I began by mixing the Sunday concerts and operating the musical productions by the time I left I had also Sound Designed a number of productions. After 18 months or so I got my big break as number 2 on Cameron Mackintosh’s UK tour of Miss Saigon where I stayed for another 18 months.

What I do

It was in 2005 when I began my career as a Freelance Sound Engineer and more recently Production Sound Engineer. I have not looked back since and really enjoy my work. I have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work on some fairly major productions including, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Tour taking in Singapore, The Musical version of Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds tours, Rain Man at the Apollo Theatre London, Mary Poppins UK tour, and various other corporate and theatrical events taking me all over the UK and into Europe. My roles on these producions have included Sound Engineer both Front of House and Monitors, Rigger, Keyboard Tech, Radio Mic Runner and Network Engineer.
