Becoming the Young Cook of Britain at the age of 14 set me on the right track, and after gaining a first class degree in food marketing and agriculture I decided it was time to get my hands dirty, so embarked on a trip around the world working as a chef.
Since 2002 I have been based in London, writing about and styling food for magazines, books and other publications; consulting for major food brands; and appearing regularly as a guest chef and presenter on TV.
